HYMS is a partnership between its two parent Universities and the National Health Service in Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire. Our undergraduate students have contact with patients from the very start of their course, and much of our teaching takes place in a clinical setting. After graduation, the majority of HYMS-trained doctors have chosen to remain in our region and work in the NHS.
Local Education and Training Boards (LETB) are responsible for ensuring that education, training and workforce development drives the highest quality public health and patient outcomes. HYMS is linked to Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber.
