HYMS is a partnership between its two parent Universities and the National Health Service in Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire. Our undergraduate students have contact with patients from the very start of their course, and much of our teaching takes place in a clinical setting. After graduation, the majority of HYMS-trained doctors have chosen to remain in our region and work in the NHS.
NHS Yorkshire and the Humber is the Strategic Health Authority for the NHS in our region. It works to improve patient care and coordinate the various bodies that deliver health services in Yorkshire and the Humber.
