The HYMS MPhil is a research programme open
to people from a wide range of backgrounds, both clinical and non-clinical.
About the MPhil programme
The MPhil programme is three years long, or six years part-time.
To successfully complete your MPhil, you will conduct a substantial independent research project which
will lead to an original contribution to knowledge. You can work in a wide range of areas -- our current students are researching topics as diverse as
the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular
disease and how dietary stresses and strains affect skull shape.
Your project should be in an academic area that's covered by one of our research centres.
As a MPhil student at HYMS, you will also
take part in our postgraduate training scheme, which
provides you with extra opportunities to develop both specialist
and transferable skills.
