Cancer medicine

Developing new treatments for cancer is a priority at HYMS.

The brand-new Queen's Centre for Oncology and Haematology, at Castle Hill Hospital near Hull, is virtually unique across Europe. It provides the following facilities:

  • the Oncology Health Centre, a world-class facility offering advice and psychological support for cancer patients and their families
  • a central research hub for researchers who are developing clinical trials for treating cancer
  • an academic suite for professors, consultants, clinical lecturers and research fellows

Meanwhile, our Centre for Clinical Sciences (also in Hull) brings together experts from HYMS, the NHS and universities.
