Many diseases across the world occur when the immune system is not working or is challenged in ways that evoke responses that damage rather than protect cells and tissues. These diseases can cause morbidity and mortality in every human population worldwide.
The Centre for Immunology and Infection is a joint research centre created by the Hull York Medical School and the Department of Biology at the University of York.
Research within Centre ranges from fundamental studies on the pathogenesis of infectious and non-infectious disease through to first-in-man clinical research.
