Miriam's two main areas of research are breathlessness and palliative care for patients with advanced heart failure, and venous thromboembolism in advanced cancer patients. Her current projects include non-pharmacological interventions for breathlessness, opioids in heart failure, oxygen for patients with heart failure, and clinical decision-making.
Mike has a long-standing research interest in mediated information, the role of the internet and delivery of welfare. He has recently been working on the role of Web 2.0 in health and social care.
