Our vacation research scholarship scheme enables Phase I students to get involved with short research projects over the summer break.
Vacation scholarships
Vacation scholarships are available for up to eight weeks and carry a grant of £180 per week, to allow you to join a HYMS research project at the University of Hull, the University of York, or with a HYMS NHS partner organisation.
To apply, first identify an appropriate research opportunity with a HYMS academic or within a HYMS Centre. We don't expect you to design your own research project, but rather to join in with a project supervisor's research area.
The application deadline is 17:00 on Friday 22 March 2013.
Research support funds
You can also apply for up to £200 of research support funds along with your vacation scholarship. These funds are intended to support the costs of the research that you undertake.
To apply for research support funds, include a costing as part of your vacation scholarship application. If your application is successful, the funds will be made available to your supervisor after your scholarship has been awarded.
