Dr Allgar's main role is to manage the HYMS Statistical Consultancy Service. The service offers comprehensive help and guidance on all statistical matters, including: study design; sample size calculations; help with analysis, interpretation and presentation of data; and the use of statistical packages. The service is free and available to all staff, considering or undertaking research, working in the NHS organisations of North and East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.
