Senior Lecturer in Inter-Professional Learning


Dr Lesley Hughes comes to HYMS from Bradford University, where she spent six years as the interprofessional education co-ordinator in the School of Health Studies. Prior to her 11 years researching and developing interprofessional learning for the health professions in the UK and Sweden, Dr. Lesley Hughes studied Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire. She then taught at Salford University whilst studying for a Masters in Health Research at the University of Lancaster.
Lesley's interest in collaborative working and human behaviour stems from her nurse training in Manchester and has resulted in research at the University of Bradford, into children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Lesley continues her research on ADHD around collaborative working, and sees this as an extension of her role as senior lecturer in interprofessional learning and collaborative working
Lesley is based in the School of Nursing, Social Work and Applied Health Studies at the University of Hull, and works part-time with HYMS.
