Ian spent most of his academic career as a pharmacologist and toxicologist at Manchester Medical School before coming to HYMS. Ian has spent research time in New York and Melbourne and gained valuable management experience at the Wellcome Trust in the International program. In HYMS he plays a central role in teaching and administration with a particular emphasis on the clinical sciences.
Ian's research interests focus upon reproduction, especially in the male, and the effects of drugs, radiation and environmental pollutants, on subjects ranging from men to frogs.
