BIOGRAPHY
Khalid Naseem is Professor of Cardiovascular Biology and head of the Centre for Cardiovascular and Metabolic research. He obtained his under graduate degree in Applied biology and biotechnology from Thames Polytechnic in 1990 and his PhD from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1996. Further post-doctoral studies were performed in Prof. Richard Bruckdorfer’s laboratory where his work focused on the role of free radicals in platelet and endothelia cell biology. In 1999 Khalid joined the University of Bradford as a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences and where he eventually progressed to become a Professor of Cardiovascular Biology. He was appointed as Chair in Biomedical Sciences at HYMS in 2009.
