Colin has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education for over 10 years. From 2005 until 2011 he was responsible for overseeing the educational development of doctors during the first two years following graduation as Director of the North Yorkshire East Coast Foundation School (http://www.nyecpgme.org.uk).
He has been involved in HYMS from its inception, but has had an active role more recently firstly as Clinical Skills Lead, and most recently as Interim Undergraduate Dean. He leads on all aspects of curriculum design, development, delivery, assessment and evaluation and is supported by Associate Deans, phase leads, Directors of Clinical Studies, and a senior manager.
Current research includes preparedness for practice of new graduates, the 'added value' of the Foundation programme, and comparison of multisource feedback (MSF) tools in use in the Foundation Programme.
