Our tenth birthday

Support BIKE@HYMS now

We're celebrating our tenth birthday this year. This is not only a cause for celebration, it's also a chance to acknowledge the support we've received from all our local partners to make us a first-class medical school. We want to thank everyone who's played a part in our success. Here's to the next ten years!

Fundraising

As part of our commitment to the region, we're using HYMS@TEN as an opportunity to raise money for our local hospices in recognition of the support and excellent teaching they provide for our students. We're also raising money for enhanced bursaries for students as part of our commitment to them. These two good causes were chosen by a vote of all our staff in autumn 2012.

50% of the money we raise will be divided equally among the five hospices in our region. The remaining 50% of the money we raise will fund future scholarships and bursaries, giving financial help to students and prospective students in hardship so they can continue their studies.
