Latest news for applicants

  • Offers for 2010: Interviews for 2010 entry have now been completed and all candidates will hear by the end of February as to whether or not they have been offered a place at HYMS. Please do not phone or email us concerning the timing of offers - you will appreciate that this is a very busy time for us here in Admissions.
  • Applicants for 2010 entry: Our basic entry requirements remain as follows:-
    o GCSEs: Grade A English Language (or grade A English Literature and grade B English Language for those for whom English is their first language).
    o A levels: The typical offer will be AAB, including both Biology at grade A and Chemistry at grade A, and a third A2 (excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking). Candidates will also need a 4th subject to AS level at grade B (excluding General Studies).
    o International Baccalaureate Diploma: Overall total of 34 points with 6,6,5 in three Higher level subjects including Biology and Chemistry.
    o Graduates: Only graduates with a degree class of 2.1 or higher will be considered
