All HYMS students are based at either Hull or York in their first two years.
Students choosing HYMS as their Firm choice on UCAS will be allocated to a campus at the beginning of May. You will then be sent details on how to apply for accommodation at your allocated campus. Students only need to apply for accommodation at the campus to which they are allocated.
The University of Hull offers many different types of accommodation, including catered halls of residence, self-catering on-campus flats, and self-catering university-owned student houses. A number of residences are specially adapted for students with disabilities. Prices begin from £72.95 per week for a student house (self-catered).
The following accommodation options are suitable for HYMS students based at the University of Hull:
New on-campus accommodation for 560 students will be available from September 2016. This new accommodation will include standard rooms in 8 bedroom flats, deluxe rooms in 4 bedroom flats and stunning one-bedroom rooftop apartments. 41 week let lengths are recommended for HYMS students.
If you're based at York, you will become a member of one of the University's eight undergraduate colleges which all have extensive on-campus accommodation. So you will never be far from lectures, the library, catering outlets and student bars.
Prices for 2016/17 range from £106 to £173 per week. There is a mixture of catered and self-catered accommodation available and just under half the rooms have ensuite facilities. As well as your study bedroom and shared kitchen, you will also be close to a range of facilities such as bars, cafes, dining halls, common rooms and study areas.
