Role at Hull York Medical School

I am currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow on the RESOLVE study. This is an implementation research project seeking to understand and explain the processes that underpin the successful integration of Person-Centered Outcome Measures (PCOMs) into routine palliative care practice across Yorkshire.

I am currently working on the RESOLVE project, aiming to implement and evaluate a new Yorkshire-wide Outcomes and Assessment Collaborative in hospice and palliative care settings to improve the quality of palliative care received by patients and their families.

Previously, I completed my undergraduate degree and PhD in Sports and Exercise Sciences, both at the University of Leeds.

My research interests are focused on improving health outcomes in patients with advanced, incurable and chronic diseases. I am particularly interested in how we may utilize physical activity and mindful movement interventions within hospice settings to improve quality of life. I am also interested in researching how we may implement systematic health outcome measures in routine palliative care practice. My research is underpinned by qualitative research methods and methodologies, taking a keen interest in ethnography and creative analytical practices.
