Role at Hull York Medical School

Claire oversees the operations management of the School, working with the Executive Group to coordinate the operational implementation of the School’s strategy across all areas of its activity. She has overall responsibility for coordinating the School’s infrastructure and resources, supported by the Head of Operations and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, ensuring the School operate efficiently and effectively. 

Biography

Claire joined the School in 2021, in the previous sixteen years she has worked extensively across Higher Education and Professional Medical Education, in education, research, governance and management roles. Most recently working as Director of Professional Services in the School of GeoSciences at the University Edinburgh, Claire previously worked for organisations including at Cardiff University, the Royal College of Physicians London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Claire is a member of the Association of University Administrators (AUA) and holds an MSc in Strategic Management.
