All of your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we can’t wait to see you again when you join us as part of our brand new Medicine student cohort.

Things to do

Over the coming days and weeks, as you prepare for life as a Hull York Medic, you will receive important information from a number of different sources, including both the University of York and the University of Hull, and our Programme Delivery Team.

Once you've confirmed your offer on UCAS TRACK, here's a few things to do now, to start getting ready to be a Hull York Medic:

 

What next?

Now you can start looking forward to exciting times ahead! Here's a few things you can do before you start at Hull York Medical School:

1. Register on to your Medicine programme

You will need to register on your programme in the following way depending on your home campus:

  • University of York – The University will send you details about how to register for your programme online.
  • University of Hull – Registration takes place on campus on Friday 27 September, the University will send you further details.


2. Get ready for our Welcome Event

Our Welcome Event takes place on Monday 30 September, this is where you can meet students and staff from the programme, find out more about studying with us, and also take part in some fun!

We’re busy finalising our Welcome Event – we’ll share details with you soon!


3. Check out MedSoc

Hull and York MedSoc are the two leading societies for Medicine students. Whether it’s a charity fundraiser, barbecue, formal ball or quiz night, there’s always some social activity for you to get involved in. MedSoc are always on hand to offer support if you need advice on your studies or university life.

4. Chat to our Student Support Team

When you join Hull York Medical School you join a close knit community. Our aim is to ensure you get the most out of your time at medical school, however we recognise that starting university can be a daunting experience.
