Our research

We aim to integrate multiple disciplines to advance fundamental understanding of the biggest challenges in clinical medicine. Discover more about our research.

About our research

Clinical research in the Centre builds on expertise across Hull York Medical School, the University of Hull and the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Our work is multidisciplinary and spans clinical trials, behavioural research and translational research. Our interdisciplinary research is carried out by both individual clinical and academic researchers and groups. We aim to integrate multiple disciplines to advance fundamental understanding of the biggest challenges in clinical medicine.

We collaborate with and draw on the expertise of researchers and groups across Hull York Medical School, including the Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre, the Biomedical Institute for Multimorbidity, and the Cancer Awareness, Screening and Diagnostic Pathways Research Group.

Our research outputs

Our collaborative research output is vast, with our findings demonstrating clear benefits to patients.

Many of our findings have been used to inform and develop guidelines and policy for the treatment of diseases.

You can view our research outputs on Worktribe

You can also visit our research projects to explore a selection of our ongoing and completed projects.

Be a visiting researcher

We welcome visits from other researchers, for a stay of a few weeks to several months. We also welcome enquiries from researchers interested in contributing to our innovative research in clinical sciences.

A research visit to our Centre is a great opportunity to join our supportive, collaborative research group. You will be invited to exchange ideas, challenge ways of thinking and generate new knowledge in clinical medicine, and ultimately translate and implement our research to improve the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with a wide range of conditions.
