Michael is the Academic Lead for MB BS Electives.
I undertook my cardiothoracic surgical training in Yorkshire and the Humber prior to being appointed as a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I have interests in thoracic trauma and minimally invasive thoracic surgery including robotic surgery.
I have presented at national and international surgical meetings and was the recipient of the European Society Thoracic Surgeons Young Investigator award in 2020. I have published original articles in peer reviewed journals.
I am involved in surgical teaching and training and I am a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of Surgical Trainers.
