Qualitative Research Fellow

Role at Hull York Medical School

I am a qualitative research fellow working on the HAMLET trial with Dr Maureen Twiddy and Mr George Smith. The HAMLET trial is an NIHR-funded multi-centre randomised trail comparing through-knee with above-knee amputation. My role on the trial is to conduct qualitative interviews with patients who consent or decline to take part in the HAMLET trial to better understand the trial processes from the patient perspective. I will also conduct longitudinal qualitative interviews to explore the quality of life of people recovering from both types of amputation.
