Dr Najeeb Shah

Clinical Research Fellow

Role at Hull York Medical School

I am working in the role of a Clinical Research Fellow, working towards my MD and am based at the Allam Diabetes Centre, Hull Royal Infirmary. My principal supervisor is Professor Sathyapalan.

I am currently working as a sub-investigator on numerous Diabetes and Endocrinology related commercial clinical trials and am actively involved in participant recruitment, randomisation, identification and assessment of AE's and SAE's and routine clinical management of participants where required. I have taken an active interest in applied research using the ABCD national FSL audit data and the UK Biobank as part of my research group. In addition to this, for my MD project, I am undertaking the Lipid Variability Study.

I am also involved in clinical work at the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and take part in the acute medical rota together with doing speciality clinics (growth hormone and PCOS) at the Allam Diabetes Centre, Hull Royal Infirmary.
