Wayne Sheedy is currently Service Support Manager for Research Groups off Campus with responsibilities for procurement, finance, heath and safety, and recruitment.

Biography

Wayne previously worked at the University of Sheffield's Archaeology and Prehistory department for four years, before returning in 1990 to Medicine & Pharmacology at the University of Sheffield, where he developed a research background in Respiratory Medicine. Originally trained as a technician, he developed management skills and gained numerous promotions before moving to the University of Hull in 1996 as a Senior Technician/Manager in Respiratory Medicine.

He obtained an MPhil in 2000, looking at ANP and BNP in pulmonary circulation in health and disease. He has been in Hull for over 16 years, and is now the Manager of Centre for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research at HYMS. He obtained the NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety Management in 2016.
