Research in the Centre for Atherothrombosis and Metabolic Disease (CAM) aims to increase our understanding of molecular and cellular mechanisms responsible for development of disease, and translate these findings into clinical benefits.
Our work focuses on chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, wound healing, infertility and airway inflammation.
As these negatively impact quality of life and life expectancy, our goal is to develop new therapeutic approaches to manage these conditions.
The work of the Centre is making a real difference to patient’s lives. Discover more about our inspirational people and impactful research below.
