Teaching Excellence Awards

Welcome to the Teaching Excellence Awards 2020

1 -5 June 2020

The Hull York Medical School Teaching Excellence Awards are held every year to recognise the outstanding work and commitment of our clinical and PBL tutors, placement teams and support staff from across the region.

The Awards honour those colleagues whose dedication to exceptional medical education ensures that students on our Medicine and Physician Associate programmes receive an outstanding learning experience, both on campus and on placement.

The awards are entirely student-led, with nominees and winners in each category selected by students.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are sadly unable to hold a physical awards evening in 2020.

But it’s more important than ever that we recognise the incredible work of our clinical, teaching and support colleagues. That’s why this year, we’ll be bringing together our #HYMScommunity in a week-long Teaching Awards Takeover across our social media channels, to recognise our nominees and winners.

Join us in a digital celebration for 2020!

We will be announcing our winners on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram from 1 to 5 June 2020.

Be sure to follow along using the hashtag #HYMSAwards, or take a look at our video updates which we will be posting on this page as the winners are revealed.
