Dr Charlotte Kelly joined Hull York Medical School in 2019, as a Career Development Fellow working with the TRANSFORM team at the University of Hull.

Biography

Dr Charlotte Kelly joined Hull York Medical School in 2019 from the University of Leeds where she was a Senior Research Fellow with a joint post between the Academic Unit of Health Economics (AUHE) and Institute for Transport Studies (ITS). She is a multidisciplinary researcher working across the fields of health and transport, using quantitative and qualitative methods including spatial analysis and economic evaluation.

Her Career Development Fellowship (funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research) is exploring the issues related to a cancer patient’s journey to healthcare facilities on their journey through the healthcare system (from diagnosis to end of life).

Charlotte is interested in supervising students who have an interest in exploring how transport enables and impedes patients and their support networks as they travel through their healthcare journey.
