Research themes in the Clinical Sciences Centre

Here in the Clinical Sciences Research Centre our aim is to undertake research which will improve the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with a wide a range of conditions.

From improving the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes for patients with cancer, supporting patients to prevent and manage long term conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity, to developing new interventions to treat and aide the recovery of those with vascular disease – our aim is to ultimately improve outcomes for patients.

Our clinical and academic researchers, in collaboration with the University of Hull, are at the forefront of research to reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for patients with cancer.
