Call for abstracts closes, 09:00 hrs UK time, no exceptions.

You will receive an email confirming the receipt of the abstract submission. Please check your junk folder. If no email is received within 24 hours of submission, email wolfsonpallcare@hyms.ac.uk.

Guidelines

Online abstract submissions are invited for original research, audit, or service evaluation relevant to palliative care and in consideration of the conference theme – Challenges in Palliative Care: Data, Delivery and Diversity.

Abstracts are restricted to a maximum of 2,000 characters, which does not include the title of the abstract or any references an author may choose to list. A structured format should be followed:

  • Background or Introduction
  • Aim or Research Question
  • Method(s)
  • Results
  • Conclusion(s)

References are not required but can be provided if preferred. Please complete the submission form accurately and completely. Any enquiries regarding the format of abstracts should be made via wolfsonpallcare@hyms.ac.uk

Oral and Poster Presentations

Authors are required to indicate their presentation preference: oral, poster, or either.

At review, each submitted abstract will be scored by three reviewers from the conference committee. The top-scoring abstracts will be considered for oral presentation within the conference programme.

Oral Presentations

The number of oral abstract presentations is restricted by the time available within the conference programme. The duration of oral presentations will be confirmed at the time of acceptance.

Posters

Authors of abstracts accepted for poster presentation will be required to produce a poster, which will be displayed in the poster gallery throughout the conference.

The poster should be portrait and presented on A0 paper (841mm x 1189mm).

Authorship

The presenting author must register to attend the conference no later than Friday, 27 March 2026.
