Get involved

There are lots of ways to get involved and remain an active member of the Hull York community:

Inspire future students: share your experiences by supplying a testimonial about your time at Hull York Medical School and how it has helped shape your career. Or post your memories of the Medical School and your successes as a graduate and tag us on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn using the hashtag #HYMSGrad.

Volunteer: make a difference by volunteering and engaging in activities such as outreach school visits, MB BS Medicine interviews, Open Days/Post Offer visit days, or by providing a guest lecture for current students.

Become a mentor: support the next generation of doctors by mentoring or connecting with current final year students or recent graduates via our Hull York Connects online alumni community.

Make a donation: by contributing to one of our fundraising campaigns you could help support current students facing hardship or help further vital research.

We are keen to celebrate your achievement and support you on your continued academic and professional journey. As a graduate of Hull York Medical School, you’re entitled to a 10% discount off selected Hull York Medical School postgraduate programmes for 2026 entry. We also offer reduced tuition fees for MB BS Medicine and MSc Physician Associate Studies alumni wishing to join our PGCert/PGDip/MSc in Health Professions Education for 2026 entry.
