Graduate Scholarship

We offer a 10% reduction in tuition fees to University of Hull, University of York and Hull York Medical School graduates joining one of our Postgraduate Taught Programmes for 2026 entry.

Postgraduate Taught Widening Access Scholarship

Two Postgraduate Taught Widening Access Scholarships for 2026 entry are available to UK applicants who meet our eligibility criteria. The value of each scholarship is £4,800 offered as a tuition fee discount.

Postgraduate Taught International Excellence Scholarship

We offer two Postgraduate Taught International Excellence Scholarships for 2026 entry to International applicants who meet our eligibility criteria. Each award offers a 20% tuition fee reduction in the total tuition fees for 2026 entry.

Intercalated Student Bursaries

Two Intercalated Student Bursaries are available to Medicine students from UK medical schools who wish to undertake an intercalated degree at Hull York Medical School in 2026.

Hull York Medical School Intercalated Student Bursaries

Two bursaries, awarding a 50% tuition fee reduction, are available to Hull York Medical School MB BS Medicine and MB BS Medicine with a Gateway Year students to undertake an intercalated degree at the School in 2026.

Reduced tuition fees

To support the professional development of the Hull York Medical School community – our staff, alumni and partners – we offer reduced fees for our MSc Health Professions Education Programme.

50% reduction in tuition fees

This reduction applies to contracted or seconded members of Hull York Medical School staff with a substantive teaching and leadership role in the delivery of our curricula (for example Problem Based Learning Tutors, Associate Directors of Clinical Studies, or Directors of Clinical Studies).

This offer is available for entry in September 2026 and January 2027. Discounts for future years are to be confirmed.

20% reduction in tuition fees

Clinical Teaching Fellows employed by one of the Hull York Medical School Partner NHS or Community organisations applying for the PGCert are entitled to a 20% fee reduction for September 2026 and January 2027 entry.

15% reduction in tuition fees

This reduction is applicable to employees of our University partners, NHS partner organisations, and primary care and community partners, including our community of honorary clinical tutors in the NHS and our MB BS Medicine and Physician Associate alumni. Find out more about our partners.

This offer is available for entry in September 2026 and January 2027.

Discounts for future years are to be confirmed, but we anticipate these will be as follows:

• September 2027 and January 2028 entry - 12.5%
• September 2028 and January 2029 entry - 10%

Yorkshire and Humber Deanery funding (Health Professions Education)

Our Certificate in Health Professions Education is recognised by the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery as an approved route for GPs who are interested in becoming a GP trainer.

Funding is available for this programme through the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery, subject to availability. For those considering becoming a GP trainer, visit the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery website for further information about funding for the programme and the application process.

Students on our programme often find funding from local healthcare organisations and training educator providers.
